Something I learned in class.... 1. Never lose sight of the question: "Why am I teaching this lesson?" 2. Put the tissue box by the sink. 3. Factor trees rule!
Questions I still have... We talk about the importance of knowing and following "best practices." Whether the subject is classroom management, working with students with disabilities, or teaching fractions, how do we determine what is considered best practice when we are out in the trenches?
Anxieties about teaching... my ability to establish "credibility" with the class as I take over teaching duties later in the year.
Excitement about teaching... being there as students discover they are more capable then they had believed
